About us: custom market research for Bulgaria, the Netherlands and the EU

Marketing Research Reports produces custom market and marketing research for businesses of every size, start-ups, public-sector bodies and agencies. We work in English, Bulgarian and Dutch, cover Bulgaria, the Netherlands and other EU markets, and deliver reports that answer a specific business question with evidence you can check.

What we do

We design and run research projects from the first brief to the final presentation. The work covers the whole range of standard methods: desk research using official statistics and published sources, online, telephone and face-to-face surveys, focus groups, in-depth interviews, mystery shopping, retail audits and digital analysis of search and social data.

The output is always a report built around your question. For a company entering a new country, that may be a market entry study combining desk research and interviews with distributors. For a brand team, it may be a concept test or a brand health tracker. For a public body preparing a tender, it may be a market consultation that documents supplier capacity and price levels before the contract value is set.

We do not sell syndicated or off-the-shelf reports. Every study is scoped, priced and written for one client.

How we work

Every project starts with the decision behind it. Before we propose a method, we ask which choice the results will inform, who will use them and by when. That conversation often shortens the questionnaire, and sometimes shows that desk research alone is enough.

The proposal that follows sets out the method, sample, timeline, deliverables and quote; you normally receive it within one working day. Once it is approved, you review the questionnaire or discussion guide before fieldwork, and we pilot it so that problems surface early rather than in the data.

During fieldwork, we monitor quotas and quality daily and tell you promptly if recruitment is slower than planned. Analysis follows a plan agreed in advance, so the questions that matter most are answered first. The report leads with the answer, explains the evidence and states the limits of the method. A debrief with your team closes the project.

Principles

  • The decision comes first. A study is designed backwards from the choice it supports, and every question in the questionnaire has to earn its place.
  • The right method, even when it is the smaller one. We recommend desk research, a short survey or a handful of interviews when that is enough, rather than the largest possible project.
  • Transparency about limits. Reports state sample sizes, fieldwork dates, margins of error and what a method cannot show, next to the findings those limits affect.
  • Respect for respondents. Participation is voluntary and informed, questionnaires are kept as short as the task allows, and personal data is processed under the GDPR.
  • Confidentiality for clients. Your brief, your identity as the client and your results stay confidential, and we follow the principles of the ICC/ESOMAR International Code.

Languages and markets

We work in three languages: English, Bulgarian and Dutch. Questionnaires, discussion guides, moderation and reports are written natively rather than translated word by word, which matters when the same question has to mean the same thing in Sofia and in Rotterdam. Bulgaria and the Netherlands are our core markets; other EU member states are covered either as separate country studies or as one comparative project. International clients often combine fieldwork in one or both countries with a single English report for head office.

How we handle enquiries

When you send a request through our forms, only we read it and only we reply. We use your details to understand the brief, ask clarifying questions and send a proposal. We do not sell, rent or pass your contact details or your brief to third parties, and we do not add you to marketing lists. If you do not go ahead with a project, your request is kept only for the period set out in our privacy policy, and you can ask us to delete it sooner at any time through the form on the site.

Frequently asked questions

Which organisations do you work for?

We work for companies of every size, from start-ups testing a first idea to established brands tracking their position, as well as for public bodies and for marketing and research agencies that need a partner for a specific market or method. What these clients have in common is a concrete decision that needs evidence. If you are unsure whether your question is a research question, describe it in the proposal form.

Do you follow an industry code of conduct?

Yes. We apply the principles of the ICC/ESOMAR International Code, which sets out duties towards respondents and clients, and we process personal data under the GDPR. We use ISO 20252 as a reference framework for planning, fieldwork and quality control, without claiming certification. Our methodology page explains how these principles shape everyday project work.

Can you work alongside our in-house team or agency?

Yes. Some clients ask us for one part of a project, such as fieldwork in Bulgaria, a Dutch-language qualitative stage, desk research on a new market or the analysis of data they have already collected. We agree the division of work, the formats and the quality checks at the start, so that your team receives results it can combine with its own without rework.

How do I start a project?

Use the form on the pricing page to tell us what you want to find out, in which market and by when. A few sentences are enough; there is no need for a formal brief at this stage. We reply with clarifying questions if needed and send a proposal, usually within one working day.
